Boulder County, Colo. - On February 27, 2020, at approximately 12:48 PM, a 59 year old male was out running on the South Mesa Trail and was about 2 miles from the parking lot. He was experience shortness of breath and started having chest pains. Boulder County Communications received a 911 call for help. City of Boulder Park Rangers were in the area and were able to respond to the male within about 15 minutes. Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District arrived with their UTV and three paramedics were able to provide quick advance medical care. Boulder County Sheriff's Office also responded.

Rocky Mountain Rescue Group provided a quick extraction of the male and brought him to a landing zone where Med Evac Helicopter flew the male to a local area hospital.
